Finding Vitamin N: Rx – Get Outside!

May 11, 2021
"Walking, hiking, swimming and cycling all provide physical benefits. But did you know that simply spending time outdoors – no matter where you live – can also have a huge impact on your overall well-being?.... Many of us spend too much time indoors in front of a screen or other electronic devices. To offset this, health care experts say getting some "vitamin N" – for nature – can reduce stress and insomnia, boost energy and revitalize health."

The May 2021 Costco Connection magazine has a fabulous article called "Nature's Nurture," written by Wendy Helfenbaum. I am copying, plagiarizing, and giving her all the credit for these timely words of wisdom!

Solitude Pointe Cabins & RV Park is at the foot of the mountains, in the middle of three state parks, in the Upstate of South Carolina. There is hiking and biking, waterfalls to see, and plenty of Vitamin N. So what are you waiting for? Make those reservations now. It is just what the doctor ordered!

An Amazing Find in Landrum - Mocha's Mug!

April 14, 2021
All of our guests like to know where they can go to shop.  Neat, local stuff.  Antiques and things you can't just find anywhere.  We always suggest that they try Landrum, SC.  What an awesome downtown!  Today, I met some friends there and found another new shop - a coffee shop I hadn't seen before.  Mocha's Mug was wonderful!  The perfect place to sit and visit with delicious coffee and delightful treats.  It's about 40 minutes from Solitude Pointe.  A little far for me to go on a regular basis, but perfect for our guests to try.  I wanted to share their information with you to help them stay in business!
